Athens and the Heart of Greece in 14 Days
About us...
Hi! We’re Debbie and Lyle, 66-yr-old retired empty nesters who love traveling and meeting new people. This was our 5th Rick Steves tour and we look forward to more in the future.
As a child I read all of the Greek myths and included a study of Greek history with my college engineering classes. It was fascinating to see the sites and sounds in person and to feel the history come alive around me. And, lucky for me, I married a man who also loves to travel and immerse himself in new lifestyles and customs.

Why do we love Rick Steves Tours? Let us count the reasons...
Fantastic, well-educated guides. Well thought out stops and itineraries. The perfect combination of exquisite hotels and homey family-run boutiques. Just the right number of interesting, inquisitive people who also love to investigate culture and history.
One of the best things about traveling with Rick Steve Tours is that in most cities you spend two nights, so there is plenty of time to relax and explore on your own. Also, the rest and lunch stops are often in other interesting places to investigate.
We loved our travel stops in Arachova, Planetiro, and Limeni just as much as the overnight stays. And OMG the food!! We have traveled fairly extensively and have never eaten such amazing food! The richness of the sight, aroma, and taste was a delight to the senses. Click here to read the entire itinerary.
Just a note about the pictures.. Because I see my pictures as a way for you to “step inside” the scene, I prefer to leave them devoid of people (with very few exceptions). The landscape is yours to enjoy without having to share it with anyone.
So lets go to Greece!
(that's Greek for "Let's Go"!)
